Remarks
- Structure: Illustration of female and male scale by Zahradnik (1952). Female scale circular, 2-2.5 mm in diameter; little convex; gray; exuviae oval, orange colour, placed centrally or eccentrally. Male scale narrow, elongated, 1-1.5 mm long; circular anteriorly and posteriorly; gray to gray black; exuviae orange colour placed on anterior part; ventral scale poorly developed; white (Zahradnik, 1952). Slide-mounted adult female with prosoma membranous at maturity. Pygidium with 3 pairs of lobes. Median lobes (L1) large, parallel or slightly convergent, each lobe rounded, asymmetric, with 1 notch on outer margin. Second lobes (L2) smaller than median lobes, convergent, each asymmetric, with small notch on outer margin. Third lobes (L3) slightly projecting, rarely absent. Plates present; with 2 plates between median lobes (L1); each side with 2 plates, weakly denticulate apically, between segments VII & VIII; 3 plates between segments VI & VII. Dorsal ducts present on pygidium; with 1 between L1, each side with 4 or 5 between L1 and L2, 15–18 between VI & VII, 8–10 on segment V; segment IV without ducts; a few ducts present on margin of prepygidial segments I–III. Perivulvar pores present in 4 groups. (Moghaddam & Watson, 2012)
- Biology: Both biparental and univoltine populations were observed in Poland (Podsiadlo, 1995).
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of adult female by Balachowsky (1950b), Zahradník (1952), Kosztarab (1956), Gómez-Menor Ortega (1959) and by Danzig (1993).
