- Fiorinia cockrelli Grandpre & Charmoy 1899: 37. Type data: MAURITIUS: on Citrus sp. (grapefruit). Holotype, female, accepted valid name Notes: Type-material lost (Mamet, 1941). The species epithet in the original description was consistently given as "cockrelli" but is considered an incorrect spelling because prevailing usage has been "cockerelli." See ICZN 33.3.1. Remarks
- Structure: Female scale elongate, narrow, slightly curved, light brown. Male scale similar, but smaller. Adult female elongate, tapering towards cephalic extremity (Brittin, 1937).
- Economic Importance: Miller & Davidson (1990) list this insect as a pest. Gill1 (1997) noted that Lopholeucaspis cockerelli was found on orchids in California "at one time," but it was eradicated and never established outdoors.
