- Systematics: Subfamily DIASPIDINAE Tribe DIASPIDINI Subtribe FIORINIINA (Normark, et al., 2019)
Finaspis appears to have some affinities with Africaspis, but differs in many obvious respects like the absence of sclerotized marginal macropores, gland spines arranged singly, and in the lack of arrangement and small size of the dorsal pores (Hall, 1946a).
