Remarks
- Systematics: This species is similar to Trionymus perrisii, but differs in having a larger sclerotized plate of C18 (significantly larger than the anal ring) and more numerous trilocular pores and hair-like setae on it. (Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin, 2015) Although the type material of Trionymus paludicola was lost, Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) used the original description and figure by Rasina, 1966 to determine that this species does not differ from T. phalaridis.
- Biology: Occurring on the leaves of grasses. Life history discussed by Kosztarab & Kozár (1988F).
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Williams (1962) and by Komosinska (1980) (as T. luzensis). Good description of the adult female given by Borchsenius (1949), Kosztarab & Kozár (1988F) and by Tang (1992). Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) noted that the note of Borchsenius (1937, 1949) about the presence of this species in North Caucasus was "not supported by material."
