Remarks
- Systematics: The name arthrophytoni had been used only once (Archangelskaya, 1930); on the contrary, the name arthrophyti has prevailing usage and can be saved (ICZN, Article 33.3.1). (Danzig, 2006a)
- Structure: Body elongate-oval or elongate, yellowish, 2.5 mm long. Antennae 9-segmented. Legs well developed. Circulus absent. Multilocular pores forming transverse rows on tergites IV-VII and rows and bands on sternites IV-VIII, some pores also present on thoracic sternites. (Danzig, 2006a) Ovisac friable. Eggs and larvae yellow. (Danzig, 2006a) Slide-mounted adult female oval to broadly oval. Anal lobes moderately developed. Antennae normally each with 8 segments. Legs well developed; hind legs without any translucent pores; claw with a small but distinct denticle. (Moghaddam & Watson, 2022)
- Biology: This mealybug lives as an inquiline insect in galls of leafhoppers of the genus Caillardia (C. notata, C. robusta) on Haloxylon spp. (Danzig, 1968b, 1969).
- General Remarks: Good description of the adult female given by Borchsenius (1949).
