  • Notes: The first part of two-volume monograph includes general information on morphology, systematics, phylogenetics, cytogenetics, reproductive biology, ecology and grographic distribution of mealybugs and a revision of the subfamily Phenacoccinae in the frames of Palaearcitc fauna. Taxonomic review provides morphological descriptions and keys for 239 species from 25 genera of Phenococcinae, most of the descriptions are illustrated by total figures. New synonymy was established for 7 generic and 32 specific names; 26 new taxonomic combinations are provided; 1 species is described as new for science. Different invasive tropical species, noted time to time mostly in the South of the Palaearctic or in greenhouses and also some inadequately described species are not included in the keys, but briefly entioned in the discussions of appropriate genera.
