Remarks
- Systematics: Subfamily: Pseudococcinae (Choi & Lee, 2022)
Gavrilov (2007) regarded Liucoccus a subgenus of Mirococcopsis. His diagnosis, repeated in Danzig & Gavrilov (2015) stated that the subgenus Liucoccus has all tubular ducts wide, about 6 µm wide. Trilocular pores with heavily sclerotized rims. Translucent pores on hind coxae very numerous and also present on metathorax near hind coxae. The description of the subgenus Mirococcopsis describes the tubular ducts of simple structure with small cuticular collar and describes trilocular pres numerous, even scattered on all body surfaces. Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) do not, however, compare these structures nor state how the two subspecies differ.
- General Remarks: Gavrilov (2007) revised Mirococcopsis and splitted it to two subgenera Mirococcopsis Liucoccus and Mirococcopsis Mirococcopsis and redecribed most of the species assigned to it. Definition and characters by Borchsenius (1949), Ter-Grigorian (1973), Tereznikova (1975), Kosztarab & Kozár (1988F) and Gavrilov (2007).
