Remarks
- Structure: Female scale circular or subcircular, 2.2-2.6 mm; black or very dark grey; flat or slightly convex; exuviae central, dark brown; ventral vellum attached to the host plant (Balachowsky & Kaussari, 1953).Slide-mounted adult female almost circular, membranous at maturity except for pygidium. Pygidium with 4 pairs of lobes; median lobes (L1) well-developed, slightly convergent, with basal scleroses; second and third lobes (L2 and L3) same shape as median lobes; fourth lobes (L4) each usually with 1 notch on outer margin. Plates absent. Paraphyses well-developed, fusiform, each side of pygidium with 3 large paraphyses (as long as lobes) arising from bases of segments V–VII; smaller paraphyses present between lobes, and some short, fine paraphyses present on segment V. Dorsal ducts long, present in furrows between segments VII & VIII, VI & VII, and V & VI; also marginal area of segment V with about 7 ducts. Perivulvar pores present in 5 groups.
