Williams, D.J., & Malumphy, C.P. 2012 Mealybugs of Great Britain: a Revised and Updated Checklist (Hemiptera: Coccoidea, Pseudococcidae). Entomologist's Monthly Magazine 148:81-93

Notes: An annotated list is presented of 49 species of Pseudococcidae (Hemiptera: Coccoidea) that are native or introduced and established in Great Britain; of these, 17 species are usually restricted to artificial conditions such as glasshouses. A separate list of a further 65 non-native species that have been detected in Great Britain associated with imported plant material but that have not established is also presented. Trionymus placatus (Borchsenius), is reported for the first time from the British Isles. It was collected from Ammophila arenaria, in Cronk y Bing, Isle of Man. It has not been recorded from Great Britain but is suspected to be present due to the close geographical proximity of the Isle of Man.
