Notes: Pseudaulacaspis pentagona has not been reported from I. virginicia, or any other Iteaceae, so the specimens reported here represent a new host record for the family. White peach scale feeds on other families of Saxifragales including Crassulaceae, Daphniphyllaceae, Grossulariaceae, and Paeoniaceae (García Morales et al. 2016). White peach scale has not been widely reported to feed on Virginia sweetspire, so it is unclear if it poses a threat to ornamental plants or natural populations.
