    • Notes: During September 1912, the inspectors of imported vegetable matter at Sydney and Melbourne respectively, had occasion to call attention to the fact that Fiji bananas often arrived infested with a scale insect. This scale has now been determined in Australia to be Aspidiotus destructor, Sign., and not Aspidiotus hederae (=Aspidiotus nerii), as first reported.
