Notes: In 2002, a study was conducted to collect and identify parasitoid and hyperparasitoid wasps of the most common soft scales including Coccus hesperidum, Eulecanium coryli [E. tiliae], E. tiliae, Sphaerolecanium prunastri, Saissetia oleae and Ceroplastes floridensis in Tehran and Guilan provinces in Iran. Primary parasitoids identified were Blastothrix sericea, Encyrtus lecaniorum, Metaphycus angustifrons, Microterys hortulanus, Microterys nietneri and Coccophagus lycimnia. Two identified secondary ones were: Cerapterocerus mirabilis and Pachyneuron muscarum. During the study, an egg predator, Moranila californica was also identified and collected. The species, M. angustifrons, M. hortulanus and M. californica are new records from Iran.
