Notes: Biological control, mainly by means of entomophagous insects, has been used in the Pacific area for a long time and can be a source of useful insects for other parts of the world. Species discussed as target pests include Aspidiotus destructor, Icerya seychellarum, Lepidosaphes beckii, Planococcus divers, Pulvinaria divers and Unaspis citri. Dactylopius tomentosus is discussed as useful for control of an Opuntia sp.
