  • Notes: The primary objective of this study is to ascertain the species of mealybugs and tending ants through the analysis of species barcodes obtained from Sarawak, East Malaysia. Furthermore, this study aims to examine the prevalence of Piper yellow mottle virus (PYMoV) infection in black pepper cultivation areas within this region. The findings will contribute valuable data to support Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies, ultimately helping to mitigate the economic impact of PYMoV on black pepper production in Sarawak. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.aspen.2025.102426
