Bernardo, U., & Viggiani, G. 1999 Effects of spinosad, a new insect control agent naturally derived, on the mealybug parasitoid Leptomastix dactylopii Howard (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae).. IOBC/WPRS Bulletin 23(9): 81-84.

Notes: The parasitoid Leptomastix dactylopii Howard (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) of Planococcus citri has been used as a test organism in a study on the side-effects of NAF-85 (Spinosad), a mixture of spinosyn A and D, a new product belonging to the spinosyn class. Contact and ingestion toxicity of spinosad was evaluated by laboratory tests carried out on glass test units and determined to be high and persistent.
