Remarks
- Systematics: The adult female of K. hiemalis is similar to that of K. pasaniae Borchsenius in having: (i) six pairsof abdominal spiracles and (ii) 12–17 capitate setae atthe distal end of each tibia. It differs from the latter inhaving (character state of K. pasaniae in parentheses): (i) abdominal spiracles each with an irregularly swollenatrium and a ring of 4–8 multilocular disc pores within the atrium (abdominal spiracles each witha regularly swollen atrium, with 1–4 multilocular disc pores, mostly one or two pores, occasionally three or four pores. The adult female of K. hiemalis is also similar to that of K. hainanensis in having: (i) six pairs of abdominal spiracles and (ii) each abdominal spiracle with an irregularly swollen atrium and multilocular disc pores within the atrium. It differs from the latter in having (character states in K. hainanensis in parentheses): (i) 4–8 multilocular disc pores within the atrium of each abdominal spiracle (three or four pores within the atrium); (ii) simple pores present on the venter only (small simple pores present on the dorsum. - Structure: Adult female.body oblong, with head slightly narrowing anteriorly and abdomen bluntly rounded posteriorly; reddish in color, naked or with flocculent wax; crawling on the trunk of host plant. Slide-mounted body 2.9–5.8 mm long, 1.4–2.3 mm wide; derm membranous, segmentation distinct. Antennae each 600–900 μm long. (Zheng, et al., 2026)
