Remarks
- Structure: Female body broadly oval, up to 5 mm long. Antennae 6-7 segmented. Legs very small; hind coxae with large translucent pores. Anal apparatus complete. Both pairs of ostioles present, but poorly visible. Circulus large, with constriction. Multilocular pores scattered on entire body surface, but more numerous in the marginal zone and on abdominal segments. (Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin, 2015)
- Biology: Infesting the stem beneath the leaf sheaths.
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of adult female by Ezzat (1962a). Description of adult female by Kosztarab & Kozár (1988F) and by Tang (1992). Danzig (1997a) concluded that the description of Trionymus phragmitis (Hall) by Tereznikova (1975) referred to Neotrionymus monstatus Borchsenius.
