Remarks
- Systematics: This species is similar to Balanococcus caucasicus, but can be distinguished from it by the presence of a circulus and the absence of tubular ducts on the dorsum. (Wu1999a). Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin provided a new generic concept of Balanococcus, regarding the grouping of trilocular pores near the midline of the body to be an important and unique character. This was in agreement with Williams (2004), but eliminated agrostis from the genus.
