- Systematics: This genus was described in Eriococcidae near Fulbrightia Ferris and this placement was accepted by Hoy (1963), but Beardsley (1984), Bullington & Kosztarab (1985) and Baer & Kosztarab (1985) transferred this genus and species, at least provisionally, to the Kermesidae
