Remarks
- Systematics: The species is very close to M. longiventris and differs from it in the absence of translucent pores on hind coxae (but they are present on hind femurs and tibiae as in M. longiventris) and in number of antennal segments (7 instead of 8) only. (Danzig & Gavrilov-Zamin, 2014)
- Biology: Occurring under the leaf sheaths of the host plant.
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Koteja (1971). Good description of the adult female given by Kosztarab & Kozár (1988F) and by Tang (1992).
