Remarks
- Systematics: Subfamily: Coccinae A, Coccini (Choi & Lee, 2019) Coccus gymnospori is related to C. elatansis, C. hesperidum and C. moestus C. gymnospori is differentiated from other species using the following combination of characters (i) the presence of 3 pairs of pregenital setae, (ii) antenna 8 segmented, (iii) dorsal tubular ducts shorter than or equal to length of ventral tubular ducts, and (iv) preopercular pores numbering 6-22 in a group. (Choi, et al., 2018)
