Remarks
- Systematics: The male of A. tokionis is very similar to other Aclerda species, but differs mainly in the structure of the thorax, which has a rather small, heavily sclerotised prescutum with a strong median ridge and with a rather narrow, poorly developed basisternum, without an anterior marginal ridge. It also lacks a pair of long setae on abdominal segment VIII. (Hodgson, 2020)
- Structure: See colour photograph in Kawai (1980, Figs. 5.1, a,b).
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of the adult female given by McConnell (1954), Gill (1993) and by Wang (1994). Description and illustration of the adult male given by Kuwana (1932a). Description of the adult female and of the first-instar nymph given by Borchsenius (1960d). Detailed redescription and illustration of the adult male in Hodgson (2020).
