Remarks
- Systematics: The combination, Chorizococcus speciosus by Matile-Ferrero & Ben-Dov (1995) was based on the original description.
- Structure: Colour photograph by Matile-Ferrero (2004). Female body yellow or light pinkish, broadly oval, up to 3 mm long. Antennae 6-segmented. Legs small and thin in comparison with body of gravid female; hind tibiae with conspicuous large tranclucent pores; claw without denticle. Anal apparatus complete, with inner ring of pores, outer ring of spinulae and six long setae. (Gavrilov-Zimin & Gapon, 2016)
- Biology: Dissections of the adult females have shown that they have fully developed larvae inside their bodies. The species is obligate ovoviviparous. (Gavrilov-Zimin & Gapon, 2016)
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by De Lotto (1961) and by Williams & Pellizzari (1997). The distribution record in St. Petersburg reflects a plant "under glass."
