Remarks
- Systematics: Subfamily ASPIDIOTINAE Tribe AONIDIINI (Normark, et al., 2019)
Balachowsky (1948b, 1951) placed this genus to the sub-tribe Pseudaonidina, and distinguished it from Neomorgania MacGillivray by the separated median lobes, while in the latter the lobes are fused.
- Structure: Adult female subcircular, with conspicuous lateral constriction on each side of mesothorax.
Prosoma sclerotized at maturity, with or without a pattern of large oval or circular areolations. Anterior spiracles associated with disc pores; posterior spiracles without associated disc pores. Pygidium with 2 pairs of lobes; third lobes (L3) absent or reduced. Median plates absent; lateral plates usually present between L1 & L2, and segments VI & VII. Paraphyses conspicuous, present between segments VII & VIII and VI & VII. Dorsal ducts numerous, present in segmental rows, each duct with opening sclerotized. Median area of pygidium with conspicuous dorsal reticulate pattern. (Mogaddam & Watson, 2021)
