• Pseudococcus katsurae Shinji 1935b: 773. Type data: JAPAN: Morioka, on Cercidiphyllum japonicum, Enkianthus japonicus, Taxus cuspidata and T. cuspidata var. depressa. Syntypes, female, junior synonym (discovered by Kanda1941d, 24). Notes: Type material lost, S. Takagi, 1989, personal communication to Y. Ben-Dov.

Remarks

• Systematics: GeneBank Accession No. AB439518 (Yokogawa & Yahara, 2009).
• Structure: Colour photograph given by Kawai (1980).
• General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Tang (1992). Danzig (1980b) synonymized this species with P. aceris, however, Takahashi & Tashikawa (1956), Kawai (1980) and Tang (1992) regarded it as a distinct species.
