Remarks
- Systematics: Gavrilov & Matile-Ferrero (2008) indicated that this species belongs to the Spinococcus group of genera. It is related to P. marrubi and to P. spinigerus. It differs in the presence of numerous multilocular pores, scattered on the entire dorsal surface of the body and in the smaller number of marginal cerarii. (Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin, 2014)
