• Parrottia MacGillivray 1921: 394. Type species: Aspidiotus moorei Green by monotypy and original designation . accepted valid name

Remarks

• Systematics: Subfamily ASPIDIOTINAE Tribe AONIDIINI (Normark, et al., 2019) MacGillivray (1921) assigned this genus to the Aspidiotini. Balachowsky (1948b) placed it to his subtribe Pseudaonidina. Ferris (1938) suggested that a study of the Pseudaonidia series of genera was required to clarify the status of Parrottia.
