Remarks
- Systematics: This genus was established for species described from inclusions in Lower Cretaceous Lebanese amber (Koteja & Azar, 2008).
Definition of the genus by Koteja & Azar, 2008: Steingeliid with broad wings (width: length ration ca 1:1.8-1:2; 1:2.4 in Steingelia), ocular sclerites broadly separated dorsally and ventrally (adhering ventra lly in Steingelia), short first flagellar segment, very large rectangular membrane on scutum (small triangular in Steingelia) and more than one pair of tail waxy rods (one pair in Steingelia).
