Remarks
- Systematics: Takagi (1984) and Williams & Watson (1988) noted the remarkable morphological variation among the five species currently placed in this genus. Character variation was remarked in size and shape of lateral lobes, number of lobes, presence or absence of perivulvar pores, and position of the anus.
- Structure: Body broadly pyriform, with prepygidium expanded and slightly sclerotized at maturity. Pygidium broad, with sclerotized pattern; with 2 or 3 pairs of lobes; median lobes (L1) each notched subapically on outer or both margins. Plates well-developed, fringed, each as long as or slightly longer than lobes, present between lobes, and as far forward as abdominal segment V. Dorsal macroducts slender, with sclerotized rims, usually with 1 median duct between L1, and present on pygidium and prepygidial segments II and III. Prepygidium with dorsal submarginal bosses present on each side of segments I and III. Perivulvar pores present in 4 groups, or absent. (Moghaddam & Watson, 2021)
- General Remarks: Definition and characters by Takagi (1984) and by Williams & Watson (1988).
