Remarks
- Systematics: Based only on the original description and illustration, Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) synonymized M. chinensis with M. subterranea stating that "thlis species does not have differences with polymorphous M. subterranea. Until this has been confirmed with a review of the type species, we are leaving it as a distinct species.
- Biology: Lives on roots of its host plant.
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Tang (1992).
