Remarks
- Systematics: Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin ( 2015) judged the cerarii of this species to be "abnormal" based on their original descriptions and figures. Therefore, they moved it to Mirococcopsis. Although we have accepted this combination at the present time, . It would be highly useful to have integrated morphological and molecular analyses before implementing synonymies or changes of combination. Practically, once species have been synonymized, the information and literature about each synonym becomes more and more difficult to trace over time. Thus, it is important to be as certain as possible about synonymy actions.
- Structure: Body elongate oval, up to 3 mm long. Antennae 8-segmented. Legs small; hind coxae with translucent pores. Anal apparatus complete. Both pairs of ostioles present. (Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin, 2015)
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Ferris (1954a). Good description of the adult female given by Tang (1992).
