Remarks
- Biology: Develops one annual generation in USA, California (Gill, 1993).
- Economic Importance: McKenzie (1942a) suggested that the principal natural control factor is the pressure exerted by the growing tree forcing the bark plates against the insects or by the growing scales forcing themselves out of shape between the narrow bark plates, or both.
- General Remarks: Description and illustration of adult female by Morrison (1939) and by Gill (1993).
