Remarks
- Systematics: This species was assigned to Formicococcus following the synonymy of Planococcoides with Formicococcus, by Williams (2004a). Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) returned this species to the original genus, Planococcus because it has cerarii without conical setae and the usual number of anal ring setae. They indicated that they thought that it might be conspecific with Planococcus citri. However, as auxiliary setae are present in all the cerarii and the anal lobe cerarii each contain three conical setae, Zhang & Wu (2022) replaced it under Formicococcus.
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Tang (1977, 1992).
