Remarks
- Systematics: Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) transferred this species to Paraputo because it has six setae in the anal apparatus. However, the number of anal ring setae is not a robust genus-level character, especially as the number of setae can vary between the two sides of the anal ring. As it has an anal lobe bar on each anal lobe, Zhang & Wu (2022) restored this species to Formicococcus.
- Biology: Living on roots of its host plant (Wang, 1985; Huang et al., 1986).
- Economic Importance: Huang et al, (1986) recorted this mealybug as a pest of loquat in Yunxiao County, Fujian Province, china.
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Wang (1985). Good description of the adult female given by Tang (1992).
