Remarks
- Systematics: Drymococcus rhizophilus Borchsenius 1962, was transferred to Formicococcus, as F. rhizophilus (Borchsenius 1962), by Danzig & Gavrilov-Zimin (2015) because it has an anal ring with multiple ring setae. However, the number of anal ring setae is not a robust genus-level character, especially as the number of setae can differ between the two sides of the same anal ring. (Zhang & Wu, 2022)
- General Remarks: Good description and illustration of the adult female given by Borchsenius (1962a). Good description of the adult female given by Tang (1992).
