Remarks
- Systematics: This genus differs from other genera of the Aspidiotina, Aspidiotinae in the lateral plates of the pygidium being long and pointed (Balachowsky, 1958b).
- Structure: Female scale elongate circular, grey or black; exuvia central. Male scale: elongate oval, white or straw; exuvia apical. (Wei & Feng, 2011) Lateral margins of prepygidial segments II–IV produced. Pygidium with 2–4 pairs of lobes, L3 and L4 may be small or absent in some species. Paraphyses and intersegmental scleroses absent. Plates between median lobes present or absent; lateral plates usually present, spiniform or denticulate apically; plates lateral to outermost lobe present or absent. Dorsal ducts present on pygidium and prepygidial segments. Perivulvar disc pores absent. (Moghaddam & Watson, 2020)
