Remarks
- Systematics: Aulacaspis litzeae is closely allied to both A. vitis and A. hedyotidis. It may be readily distinguished by the deep median cleft, containing the median lobes (Green, 1899a).
- Structure: Female test very thin, variable in outline, narrow when occurring along the veins and margin of leaves; male tests with a faint median carina. Slide mounted female body elongate. Roughly oblong, with body sides nearly parallel and free segments weakly lobed laterally, with mesothorax a little broader than metathorax and abdomen; pygidium little rounded on free margin. (Takagi, 2012a)
- Biology: Female and male tests occurring on the lower surface of leaves. (Takagi, 2012a)
- General Remarks: Detailed description and illustration by Green (1899).
