STRUCTURE: A pseudococcid-like scale insect with distinct anal lobes and long apical setae; antenna 7-segmented, apical joint club-shaped; clypeolabrum elongate-oval; labium extremely long and narrow, apex extending beyond posterior coxae; loop of piercing stylets 8-shaped; tibia shorter than tarsus; tarsal digitules longer than claw, ungual digitules knobbed; claw with a conspicuous tooth on plantar surface; anterior and posterior dorsal ostioles developed; lateral and dorsal setae small, conical (Koteja, 2000).

STRUCTURE: Body oval, with distinct anal lobes, slightly shrivelled, dorsum with a few thread-like wax secretions; 610 µm long and 310 µm wide. Eyes on large basal cones. Antennae inserted close to frontal edge, but not on the very margin; 7-segmented (Koteja, 2000).

SYSTEMATICS: Alate male similar to putoids and some pseudococcids, with rows of 6 simple eyes on each side; antennal joints not nodulate, setae twice the segment width, none apically knobbed, evenly scattered; mesothorax strongly convex, scutum solid, without membranous parts, scutellum subpentagonal extending into mesopostnotum; wings broad, with a prominent pouch for holding hamuli (Koteja, 2000).

STRUCTURE: Male of putoid-pseudococcid type, about 2125 µm long and 450 µm wide at mesothorax. Head shorter than broad, presumably shrunken; dorsomedial plate distinct, postoccipital ridge not recognized; numerous short setae on all parts of head; pores not noted. Six pairs of simple eyes and a large ocellus. Antennae 10-segmented (Koteja, 2000).
