Zou, J.J., & Zhou, C.A. 1993 [Predation of Pseudaulacaspis cockerelli (Cooley) by Chilocorus chalybeatus Gorham.]. Entomological Knowledge 30: 3, 174-176.
Notes: The functional response of adults of Chilocorus chalybeatus to eggs of its prey, the diaspidid Pseudaulacaspis cockerelli, a pest of Actinidia, followed a Hassell & Comins type III curve, while that for female adults and male pupae followed a Hollings type II curve. 'S' curve and disc equations are given. Maximum consumption of eggs, female adults and male pupae was 885, 121 and 308, resp., for a 24-h period. In Hunan, China, the predator completed one generation annually, overwintering in the larval stage below P. cockerelli on stems and branches.
