Notes: Based on the specimens examined and biology, we conclude that 1) the correct scientific name for ground pearl damaging peanut should be N. gossypii Yang (1979), not N. niger (Green, 1912); 2) N. gossypii is a valid species, not the synonym of N. chondrillae Arch. (1935). Besides, the morphology of adult male and female, first and second (cyst) nymphs, and male pupa are redescribed and illustrated.
