Notes: A list of 20 species of Phenacoccus Cockerell from China is provided. Of these, 6 species are newly recorded from China: P. arthrophyti (host plant, Haloxylon ammodendron), P. bazarovi (host plant, Aneurolepidium chinense), P. borchsenii (host plant, Picea sp.), P. interruptus (host plants, Agropyron sp. and Aneurolepidium chinense), P. perillustris (host plants, Fraxinus chinense, Lonicera japonica, Jasminum nudiflorum and Tilia mongolica) and P. pumilus (host plant Beta vulgaris). Three new species are described: P. atubulatus sp. nov. from Cynanchum komarovii roots in Ningxia, P. neimengulicus sp. nov. from Salsova passerina roots in Inner Mongolia [Nei Menggu] and P. shanxiensis sp. nov. from Artemisia capillaris, Artemisia sp. and Heteropappus altaicus roots in Shanxi. A key to the Chinese species is also given.
