Notes: Observations were made in Anhui Province, China, on the biology of the bamboo pest Unachionaspis bambusae (Ckll.). There were three generations a year. The egg stage lasted 18-25 days, and adult male lifespan 1-2 days. The scale insect had many natural enemies, including the predator Telsimia sp. and the parasite Aphytis chrysomphali (Merc.).
