Notes: This study aimed to characterize Cryptokermes brasiliensis, expand the list of hosts and the geographic distribution records of the species. Scale insects were observed and collected from vine trunks (V. labrusca) belonging to “Bordô”, “Niágara” and “Isabel” varieties, on July 20, 2015 at Santos Anjos, 4th district of Farroupilha City, Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil.
