Notes: Cataenococcus ensete, new sp., a vector for banana streak virus, is described and illustrated and compared to C. ingrandi and C. hypogaeus. A list of the mealybug species from the Afro-tropical region on Musaceae is also given, along with their hosts and distributions in Africa, and include Dysmicoccus brevipes, D. grassii, Ferrisia virgata, Paracoccus burnerae, Paraputo anomalus, Planococcus citri, P. ficus, P. musae, Rastrococcus iceryoides and R. invadens.
