Notes: Acanthomytilus hungaricus sp.n. is described from adult females and 1st- and 2nd-instar nymphs collected from Acer campestre in Budapest, Hungary, in 1980; notes are given on the biology of the diaspidid. In addition, Syngenaspis parlatoriae Sulc, which was collected from Picea pungens in Debrecen in 1979, Matsucoccus matsumurae (Kuw.), from P. mariana (nigra) in Budapest in 1980, and Trionymus newsteadi (Green), from Quercus robur (a new food-plant) and Q. pubescens in the Borzsony Mountains and Budapest in 1980, are recorded from the country for the first time.
