Uygun, N., Karaca, I., Rifat Ulusoy, M., & Tekeli, N.Z. 1995 Status of citrus pests and their control in Turkey.. IOBC/WPRS Bulletin 18(5): 171-183.
Notes: [Proceedings of the meeting at Antibes (France), 27-28 October 1994, V. Vacante, Ed., working group: Integrated Control in Citrus Fruit Crops.] The application of integrated pest management in citrus orchards has been studied in Turkey. Of 88 citrus pests, 17 are scale insects. Natural enemies control most of the key pests, if the natural balance is not destroyed by the excessive use of pesticides. Scale insects listed with their natural enemies include Aondiella aurantii, A. citrina, Aspidiotus nerii, Ceroplastes floridensis, C. rusci, C. sinensis, Chrysomphalus dictyospermi, Coccus hesperidum, C. pseudomagnoliarum, Icerya purchasi, Lepidosaphes gloveri, Leucaspis hydrangeae, Mynlococcus beckii, Parlatoria oleae, P. pergandii, Planococcus citri and Saissetia oleae.
