Notes: Abstract: In this study, a list of parasitoids attacking scale insects recorded in Turkey up to 2007 is presented. The number of parasitoid species attacking scale insects is 161, belonging to 9 families and 67 genera. The most numerous families are the Encyrtidae with 86 species and Aphelinidae with 53 species. The remaining families have 1 to 8 species each. Some of these parasitoids are considered to be effective in decreasing scale insect populations. Recently, further new parasitoid species of scale insects have been found in non-cultivated areas. These new records are discussed with regard to their use as potential biocontrol agents in Turkey.
