Tsagarakis, A.E., & Emmanouel, N.G. 2007 Presence of Marchalina hellenica (Gennadius) (Hemiptera: Margarodidae) on fir trees in Greece.. Proceedings of the 12th Panhellenic Cogress of Entomology, 13-16 November 2007, Larnaca, Cyprus. Goldan Bay Larnaca 412 pp.

Notes: Marchalina hellenica (Gennadius) (Hemiptera: Margarodidae) is the most important honeydew producing insect in Greece. It was referred as monophagus, feeding exclusively on pine trees, until 1995 when it was successfully established on fir trees after artificial "inoculation" at Menalo and Helmos mountains. In this announcement, two more cases of establishment of M. hellenica on fir trees at Parnis and Iti mountains are given.
