  • Notes: Mexican black scale, Saissetia miranda (Hemiptera: Coccidae), was reported in commercial fig plantations (var. Black Mission) at Axochiapan, Morelos, Mexico. Because of damage observed in the field and the increase in area cultivated with figs, the insect is potentially a major pest of the fruit crop.
