Notes: Pulvinaria nishigaharae (Kuwana, 1907), a pest of mulberries and maples in Japan, is redescribed and illustrated on the basis of the syntypes and recently collected adult females. It has some icroscopic characters extraordinary to Pulvinaria, and its generic position is discussed.
